Charles Essex Jr.
Mr. Essex was a co-founder and President of Feenix Payment Systems, LLC. Prior to co-founding Feenix, Mr. Essex was a Partner and Senior Director of Operations at H/2 Capital Partners, a multi-billion dollar investment manager focused on commercial real estate related debt investments. While at H/2, he led and scaled H/2’s operations from one fund with $450mm in AUM to nine funds with $14bn in AUM. Mr. Essex has over 18 years of expertise in operations, infrastructure and human resources management. Prior to H/2, Mr. Essex held operational roles at DKR Capital and Voya Investment Management. Mr. Essex is currently a member of the board of directors of Feenix Payment Systems, LLC. Mr. Essex has a B.S. in Finance from the University of Connecticut.
Mr. Park is the founder of Aperion Management, LLC, a private investment firm with offices in New York and Minneapolis that invests in small to mid-size businesses, and partners with talented management teams to identify and execute on key growth opportunities to drive value creation. Since its founding in 2006, Aperion has been the lead investor on seven platform transactions representing over $400 million in enterprise and revenue. Mr. Park is currently a member of the boards of directors of RoadSafe Traffic Systems, Inc., TriCon Holdings, Inc., Ontario Drive and Gear Limited, and BrandShare, Inc. Mr. Park is a graduate of Harvard College, where he received an A.B. in Molecular and Cellular Biology, and also received a J.D. from New York University School of Law.
Mr. Peachey has been involved in the development and/or growth of more than a dozen consumer businesses spanning aviation and transportation, mobile telecom, entertainment and technology. He is the founder of TriBeCa Advisory Partners, which provides strategy and corporate development advice to companies and investment firms, and a Senior Advisor to Cyrus Capital Partners. Previously, Mr. Peachey was CEO of Virgin Group in North America, where he oversaw the development and growth of the Virgin brand and investment portfolio in the region. He was heavily involved in the development and financing of low-fare airline Virgin America ($1bn IPO, acquired by Alaska Airlines for $2.8bn) and the creation of Virgin Galactic; he served on the boards of both companies. Mr. Peachey left Virgin in 2013 to become CEO of Filip Technologies, creator of a wearable phone and locator for kids that launched with AT&T and Telefonica. The business was acquired in 2016. Mr. Peachey qualified as a UK Chartered Accountant and has a B.Sc in Mathematics, Operational Research, Statistics and Economics from the University of Warwick, UK.
Christopher Ricciardi, CFA
Mr. Ricciardi is a Managing Member of Flowpoint Education Management ("Flowpoint"). Flowpoint provides financing for higher education either directly to universities or to students. Flowpoint is a pioneer in Income Share Agreements ("ISAs") which are products designed to provide tuition financing by aligning the interests of schools, students and investors. Prior to joining Flowpoint, he was a Founding Member and Principal of Mead Park Management LLC ("Mead Park"). Mead Park is a registered investment advisor specializing in asset finance and structured credit investments. Prior to joining Mead Park, Mr. Ricciardi held various executive positions including President and CEO at Cohen & Company, a publicly traded company focused on fixed income asset management and brokerage. Prior to joining Cohen & Company, Mr. Ricciardi was a Managing Director and Global Head of Structured Credit Products for Merrill Lynch. Prior to joining Merrill Lynch in April 2003, Mr. Ricciardi was a Managing Director and Head of U.S. Structured Credit Products at Credit Suisse. Mr. Ricciardi began his career at Prudential Securities first as a trader of agency mortgage backed securities and then as the head of Structured Credit Products. Mr. Ricciardi has been a member of the advisory boards of The Robins School of Business (University of Richmond) since 2007. Mr. Ricciardi is the Treasurer and a Director of the American Fund for LSE (London School of Economics). He is the President of the Briarcliff Youth Lacrosse League. He earned a B.A. from the University of Richmond (1991), an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania (1997), and completed a study abroad term at the London School of Economics. He is also a CFA charterholder.
Mr. Ricciardi has over 30 years of experience working within top-tier investment banks in a variety of fixed income capital markets trading, sales and product management roles. He is currently co-founder and portfolio manager of Richmond Lawrence Management LLC, an investment management firm that seeks to outperform the S&P 500 by investing long/short across equities, options and futures markets. Mr. Ricciardi is also the founder of Swan Song Associates LLC, an asset origination, advisory and search firm. Prior to his current roles, Mr. Ricciardi was a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs in Structured Product Sales facing hedge fund, private equity and asset management clients. Before that, he was responsible for the distribution of structured products and derivatives for certain market segments at Lehman Brothers in New York. Prior to Lehman Brothers, Mr. Ricciardi held trading and risk management positions at Prudential Securities and Dean Witter Reynolds, as well as divisions of Fidelity Investments and NatWest PLC. Before joining a trading desk in 1986, Mr. Ricciardi earned a BS in Business with a concentration in Finance from the State University of New York at Albany.
